In twenty years, the circuit has become a key venue for cyclo-cross, one that the top riders are very familiar with. For the 2025 championship, some adjustments have been made, as explained by Sylvain Duployer.
“Of course, we had to think about both the sporting and event aspects, while preserving the ‘spirit’ of a circuit with historical significance. We’ve designed a more spectacular finish, with an uphill false flat right after a technical section. Additionally, to improve crowd flow, we’ve added walkways under which spectators will pass, so they won’t have to cross the track. As for the rest, we’ve kept the usual stairway, the slope, and so on. We’ve made sure that the ground configuration is not too dependent on rain.”
